The “Olábarri” locomotive was built in 1882 by the British company Robert Stephenson. It initially worked on the construction of the Bobadilla-Algeciras railway, but was later acquired by the Hullera Vasco-Leonesa (HVL) coal company, which used it in the Ciñera-Matallana coal mines.
