This trail forms a loop around Cochrane Ranche Historic Site, closely following the route of Big Hill Creek. The trail is paved on one side of the creek and packed dirt on the other. Along the loop you have a mix of historic sites to visit and natural landscapes to enjoy. It's also a good idea to be on the lookout for wildlife as all sort of animals live in or pass through the ranch, including the occasional moose!
