The Bismarck Tower's architectural design is similar to those in Plauen and Markneukirchen. The upper part of the tower serves as an observation deck and was reopened in 1992. On a clear day, visitors can enjoy a wonderful view all the way to the Monument to the Battle of the Nations in Leipzig and the Ore Mountains.

This 21 m high Bismarck column was built in 1902 on the Reuster Berg (370 above sea level) near Ronneburg (exact location: Reust in Rückersdorf / Thuringia). Previously there was a windmill in the same place, which was demolished in early 1901 to build the column.
