The occidental or American plane tree (Platanus occidentalis) in the park of Seebenstein between the weir canal and the fountain house of the water supply association was declared a natural monument exactly 33 years ago - on September 1, 1983. The deciduous tree was around 30 meters high at the time and is estimated by experts to be almost 400 years old. The natural monument is easy to find in the park next to the fountain house that it is shading.
