The Lake Trail loops all the way around Walka Lagoon, following mostly flat gravel paths beside wetlands, open shoreline, and bird habitat throughout the reserve. The trail passes the historic Walka Water Works pump house, the old stone dam wall, picnic areas, and several quieter sections where pelicans, swans, ducks, turtles, and other waterbirds are commonly seen around the water’s edge. It’s one of the easiest walks in the reserve and works well for both walking and cycling.
