Hiking
The oldest building in Burntisland is the Kirkton Church. It was built at the end of the 12th century and reconsecrated in 1243 by Bishop of Bernham. It served as the parish church until the construction of the new church in 1592. It was used until the middle of the 17th century. Afterwards, it fell into ruin.
In the adjoining cemetery, with some old graves, are also buried sailors, shipowners, and even a Japanese sailor (ship engineer).
