The hostel is located directly in the historic city center, immediately adjacent to the Igrexa de Santa Maria do Azougue of the same name. From here, the wonderful old town can be excellently explored. I was able to visit the city for 14 days during my time as a Hospitalera in this Albergue and had the great fortune to welcome people from all over the world, exchange experiences with them, enjoy a glass of wine in the pretty local establishments, and take care of their overnight needs.

Another monument of the founder Fernan Perez de Andrade is this wonderful church, which was completed in the 15th century. Particularly worth seeing is the entrance portal with 4 pairs of columns with artistic capitals. On them are depicted motifs of the Last Judgment, the Virgin Mary with the Three Wise Men, and the Annunciation. On either side of the portal are depictions of the Mother of God and the Archangel Gabriel.
