Bike Touring Highlight
The Westhoofd lighthouse in the dunes near Ouddorp is a colossus 56 meters high. The square tower is made of brick and its light can be seen a good 55 kilometers across the sea. The tower was designed by the architect G.W. Friedhoff. It is a symbol of “vigilance and pride”. The tower is not open to visitors.

Lighthouse Westhoofd is one of the highlights of the beautiful coastal route on Goeree-Overflakkee, which runs from Havenhoofd to the Brouwersdam. The lighthouse can be seen from a great distance, so it's great to include it in your route.
