This stretch of the WCT passes through massive old-growth cedar trees on a mix of boardwalk and rooty forest path. There are a few sections of newer boardwalk to offer occasional relief from the mudholes and broken planks that will remain your constant companions as you make your way through the forest. The trees here are among the most impressive on the entire trail, growing to enormous proportions in the wet coastal climate and closing in on the path from all sides.
