The Botanical Garden near Batumi – a garden of about 110 ha with a multitude of subtropical and exotic plants spreads over the slopes of the cape „The Green Cape“ protruding directly from the shores of the Black Sea. It lies 9 km north of Batumi. It was founded by the Russian botanist A. N. Krasnov in the 1880s, and was officially opened to the public in 1912.
