The listed arched bridge “Heiligenborner Viadukt” in Waldheim, built in 1852 on the route between Riesa and Chemnitz, was comprehensively renewed and renovated in a planning and construction period of just five years. The historic railway viaduct is an extremely impressive structure. There are 36 smaller arches on the 12 pillars of the stone arch viaduct. The masonry of the vaults and the bridge pillars are made of natural stone and brick.
