The Belverde Archaeological Natural Park is located in Cetona, in the province of Siena, and is an extraordinary protohistoric complex immersed in an uncontaminated natural oasis. Managed in synergy with the Civic Museum of the Prehistory of Monte Cetona, the site allows exploration of the underground travertine cavities inhabited by humans since the Paleolithic and the adjacent Archeodromo, a faithful educational reconstruction of a prehistoric village.

Here visitors can visit some of the caves leading into the travertine, which are well lit and equipped, including the Grotto of Saint Francis, the Caves of Noce and Poggetto, which were used by humans for burial or religious purposes, as well as the remains of open-air settlements. The park is characterized by its largely untouched vegetation: a kind of oasis where historical, archaeological and naturalistic elements are closely linked.
