Hiking
The west entrance is the only access to the Akrokorinth fortress. It is located at the end of an asphalt serpentine road that leads up from the village of Archaia Korinthos (Ancient Corinth) and ends in a large parking lot.
The fortification on the west side is considered the most heavily secured part of the complex, as the terrain drops less steeply here than on the other sides. Access is via a complex defense system:
Before reaching the interior,
you cross a bridge over a deep moat.
The path continues through three successive fortified gates, corresponding to three defensive lines.
