Trans Rarău is one of Romania's highest and best-known mountain roads, leading through the Suceava region in the Carpathian Mountains. It connects the villages of Chiril (in the south) and Pojorâta (in the north) and is known for its breathtaking views and challenging route. The road is approximately 25.2 km long and reaches a maximum altitude of 1,451 meters. Trans Rarău is also referred to as “Drumul Comorilor” (Road of Treasures) and passes through picturesque, tranquil landscapes. Nearby is the Rarău peak (1,651 m), which is suitable for hiking.
