Wonderful chapel in the middle of the quiet and idyll. In the Christmas season there is also a very beautiful root nativity scene. It's worth a visit. There is also a nice resting place with a fountain around the chapel.

The Kniestein chapel is quietly located in the forest. Built in 1866. Attached is a fountain from which delicious cool water flows. Some benches invite you to rest and reflect. The altarpiece shows "Mary the Sorrowful Mother", the ceiling painting "The Coronation of Mary in Heaven"
There are three legends about this place:
The first says that a hermit once laid kneeling on the stone here. This created the imprints in the stone,
secondly, attempts were made twice to move the stone to St. Anna's chapel (in the village). The next morning the stone was back in its original place,
and thirdly, a lovely song was heard here, so that people became aware of the chapel. It slowly became a place of pilgrimage. On the third weekend of September, a procession up to the chapel.
The well and the chapel are also said to have healing powers.
