This mill was first mentioned in 1529. The watermill on the Seeve was founded in 1529 by Ramelsloh Abbey. In 1936 the mill burned down in a dust explosion and was rebuilt in the same year. Today, the 5th generation of the Schmans family runs an inn and a mill.
