The Peace of Žitavský mier was a decisive turning point in the history of Central Europe. On November 11, 1606, it ended the Long Turkish War (1593–1606) between the Habsburg Empire and the Ottoman Empire.
The peace treaty was concluded at the confluence of the Žitava (Sittwa) River and the Danube, near the present-day villages of Radvaň nad Dunajom and Žitavská Tôň in Slovakia.
