A horizontal cave, which is also occasionally a gushing spring, is a type of karst spring. Water here comes to the surface during heavy rains, when the internal reservoirs fill up so much that the water breaks through the siphon barrier and gushes to the surface. At that time, a mighty, spray-like waterfall of water roars from the cave, flowing into the Idrijca River.
