    The cemetery that existed later was established in the late 18th/early 19th century (the exact date is uncertain, probably after 1800) on a small hill outside the town to the east, on what is now the Bobbiner Chaussee (above the right bank of the Warbel River).

    It served as a burial ground for the small Jewish community.

    As early as 1926 (very early in the Nazi era, even before they seized power), desecrations occurred: graves were destroyed, and the hearse was smashed.

    During the Nazi and GDR eras, the cemetery was largely destroyed.
