The Hermitage of San Juan Bautista is one of the oldest and most significant hermitages in the municipality, and the only one mentioned in the Topographical Reports of Philip II that is still standing. According to researcher García López, its construction dates back to 1526. Originally located outside the town center, it was later incorporated into Torrenueva as the town grew.
