The building that stands today largely dates from the second half of the 18th century, incorporating older parts of a predecessor structure. The neo-Gothic manor house was given its present form in 1884 under Josef Kaiser. The entrance portal is adorned with sandstone figures from the Graz Town Hall, which was demolished in 1888.

The fortifications are no longer discernible.
