This stop sits at the heart of Kefalas, beside the village memorial, where the ride passes briefly out of open ground and into a space shaped by continuity and remembrance. The church is the Ιερός Ναός Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου — the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary — known locally simply as the Panagia. Its position matters. This is not a roadside chapel or a peripheral shrine but a central point in the life of the village, set deliberately beside the names of the dead.

A place to pause and reflect... there are also taverns in the village that are open in winter.
