The Convent of the Discalced Trinitarians is one of the most important historical buildings in La Guardia. Although it no longer functions as a convent, its architecture and history make it an essential landmark for understanding the town's past.
Currently, the same building houses the José Vicente González Valle Municipal Public Library.
It was a convent of the Order of the Discalced Trinitarians.
The community decided to move outside the town walls at the end of the 17th century, at which time the current building was constructed.
