As the largest city in the district of Unna, Lünen unites the vibrant metropolis Ruhr with the green landscapes of the Münsterland. The Nordpark in Lünen-Brambauer with outdoor pool and natural pond is located near the famous Colani UFO.Special feature of the Roman-Lippe-Route in Lünen is the route mostly directly through the city center, along the Lippe and the protected Lippeauen. Nature and city life are close together and make the bike ride through Lünen to a special experience.Highlight and attraction at the same time is the stair cascade on the northern Lippeufer in the city center. The Römer-Lippe-Route leads right past her. The large steps allow visitors to approach very close to the river.
