The widely visible St. Katharinen Church in Kleinjörl, with its white exterior, forms a beautiful and effective contrast to the green meadows all around. It is described in the Schleswig-Holstein art topography from 1989 as a “simple late Gothic brick building with a flat-roofed nave and retracted box choir, segmented arched windows and two old portals, plus a south-facing vestibule from 1756 and the west wall and west tower from 1914”.

St. Catherine's Church is an Evangelical Lutheran church in the municipality of Jörl. The church building, located on the main street of Kleinjörl, belongs, together with St. Peter's Church in Eggebek, to the Eggebek-Jörl parish in the Schleswig-Flensburg church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany.
