The old ironworks in Abentheur is the oldest blast furnace plant in Hunsrück. As early as 1567, Abentheur Abbey was mentioned in the history of the village. Since 1875, however, no more work here, today you can instead participate in guided tours and immerse yourself in the history of the ironworks of the Hunsrück. In addition to the historical tour, you can also take part in a particularly graphic casting demonstration. If you are interested in industrial culture and casting techniques, you are in the right place.
