The Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa, was designed, built, and operated by AECOM for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. A multi-purpose stadium emphasizing heritage, culture, and location, it accommodated a total of 70,000 spectators during the World Cup. After 2010, the capacity was reduced to 56,000.

A striking 106-meter-high central arch—inspired by the Y-shape of the South African flag and symbolizing the unification of the nation through sport—supports the lightweight cable-stayed roof, which covers 85% of the stadium's seating. These seats are arranged in oval tiers and accessed via six levels and a surrounding podium.
