On the Ardon ramp leading to the fortified gate of Ardon in Laon (02, Aisne, Picardie, Hauts de France), we can observe a well-preserved washhouse-fountain dating from the 19th century. The latter, surmounted by a porch with a flat tile roof, allowed families to do their laundry there.
This washhouse marks the site of an old watering trough from 1356 and a fountain dating from 1389.
