The road is part of the old "Strada statale 125 orientale sarda", one of the most important and longest state roads in Sardinia. Due to the new construction of the SS125 south of the mountains, it has lost its importance and is only important for people in the mountain town of Brunei or foresters of the "Ente forestale di sette fratelli" or for us travelers. 😜
