Jaidhof Castle, which has presented itself in a Neoclassical style since the 19th century, was probably founded as early as the Babenberg era. The builder of the originally castle-like Jaidhof is unknown.

The "Jaedhoff" is first mentioned in 1381. In the following centuries, the Gföhl-Jaidhof estate was pledged as collateral. During this time, the pledge holders never resided in Jaidhof, which resulted in its gradual decline.

After 1662, a period of significant expansion began when Georg Ludwig, Count of Sinzendorf, purchased the Gföhl estate of Jaidhof, including the castle.

Around 1800, renovations and new construction were carried out at the castle.

In 1834, Georg Freiherr von Sina purchased the Gföhl estate with Jaidhof, and in 1847, the Imbach, Droß, and Rehberg estates.

From 1884 onward, Max Ferstel and Wilhelm Ritter von Gutmann undertook further renovations and new construction, which brought the castle to approximately its present form. His son, Mining Councilor Dr. Max Ritter von Gutmann (around 1900), completed the structural alterations. Until 1938, the castle remained the property of the ruling family.

Until 1970, the castle was inhabited by the estate owners. In 1985, the owner, Rosa Gutmann, leased it indefinitely to the Society of St. Pius X, founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. Upon her death, it became the property of the Society of St. Pius X. Baroness Rosa von Gutmann passed away on November 24, 2003, and was laid to rest in the family crypt in Vienna-Döbling on December 9, 2003.

During the annual Advent market organized by the museum association, the castle opens its doors to numerous visitors, inviting them into its enchanting atmosphere.
