Crooked River Provincial Park covers 963 hectares of mixed boreal forest that supports moose, beavers, and a variety of birdlife, and protects a chain of beautiful, clear, spring-fed lakes along the Hart Highway north of Prince George. It is best known for Bear Lake’s sandy beaches, which offers some of the finest swimming in northern British Columbia, along with plenty of other outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and fishing. With easy shoreline trails and excellent access to Bear, Square, and Kimabaskin Lakes, it’s a popular spot for swimming, paddling, and family-friendly recreation.
