The trail to Pointu de la Rivière Verte begins from a small clearing off Chemin Montagne des Therrien, near the village of Rivière-Verte. It is a loop-style route of approximately 2.4 km, climbing through hardwood ridge forest to reach a lookout tower on the summit of Mont Pointu

The terrain uses old roadbeds and forest tracks with moderate incline, and signage is limited though the route is straightforward. At the summit you’ll find 360-degree panoramas of the St. John River and Madawaska Valley.

Because of the ridge climb and exposed summit tower, this trail is best attempted in good weather with suitable footwear and caution near the lookout.
