    Tips

    November 19, 2025

The Habitat Conservation Area is one of the wildest corners of Wascana Centre, with natural wetlands, tall grasses, and a mix of forest and marsh that attract birds and wildlife. Wooden boardwalks and natural trails let you explore, and you can see interpretive signs along the path sharing information about local birds and native plants.

The area may be closed in winter, so it’s best to visit during the warmer months when the trail is accessible and nature is at its liveliest. I also recommend going in the morning when wildlife is more active.
