Tips

  • The Redipuglia military shrine was completed in 1938. Ten years of work were needed to finish the work, which currently houses the bodies of 100,000 soldiers who died during the First World War. The name Redipuglia derives from the Slovenian 'sredij poljie', which means 'middle earth'.
