This is a lovely trail that leads through quiet boreal forest to a marsh and beaver dam, where the path skirts the water’s edge. There are several granite outcrops with beautiful views over the cattails, and interpretive signs that focus on local ecology, especially beaver habitat and wetland features. The route continues along a narrow, rocky trail to Cabin Lake, where you’ll find a few backcountry campsites that line the shore if you’re looking for a scenic overnight spot.
