    Hiking

The brown emu is a flightless bird native to Australia and is the second largest living bird. Its limbs are similar to those of other runners – long, unfeathered with three forward-facing toes. The calf muscles enable the emu to better adapt to sprinting over long distances. Both sexes are brownish in color with a dark gray head and a long whitish-blue neck. The muscular limbs allow the emu to reach speeds of up to 50 km/h with an average stride of 3 meters.
