The Poschinger Weiher is part of the landscape protection area Isartal, and houses a small bird sanctuary. Created in the First World War as a quarry lake, it is a popular recreational destination.

Somewhat hidden, natural, located east of the Isar in the northwest of the municipality of Unterföhring. The pond is part of the Isar Valley conservation area. If you don't like mass tourism at the lake, you're in good hands here.
The lake has a water surface of 5.5 hectares and is up to 2.5 meters deep. Of course, the bird protection island in the middle must not be entered. According to statistics, the lake is one of the cleanest in Bavaria.
On the western shore of the lake there are 5.5 hectares of sunbathing lawns, two table tennis tables, some sections of the shore are filled with sand, ideal play paradises for small children. The east bank is not suitable for swimming because it drops too steeply. 2.5 meters water depth.
Animals of all kinds, especially dogs, are not allowed to run free here. During the bathing season (May 15 to September 15) it is generally forbidden to bring animals.
