Some may simply pass by the small sacred monument located here without paying it special attention. But every cross and every wayside shrine, every saint's shrine that the hiker encounters along the way, is a sign of faith in the crucified and resurrected Christ. However, for those who pause here briefly, I would like to offer the following verse by Walter Berger:
