    Panorama Winery Baumgärtner
Winegrowing has been documented in Hohenhaslach for almost 1,000 years. In the Middle Ages, we were even our own small town. Today, the village belongs to the town of Sachsenheim. It lies like on a balcony on the southern edge of the Stromberg Nature Park, surrounded by vineyards and dense forests. Everything at our winery is family-run – from the natural cultivation of the grapes in the vineyard to the cellar work and marketing. The Panorama Winery, with its current 14 hectares of vineyards, was founded in its present form in 2012. However, our tradition dates back to 1865.

    The Story with the King
It all began with our ancestor Johann Matthäus Baumgärtner. Through his marriage in 1865 to Johanna Christina Keller in Hohenhaslach, he founded the present-day Panorama Winery – at least indirectly. Since 1908, our family cultivated the vineyards of the King and later Dukes of Württemberg on the warm southern slopes of Hohenhaslach for decades. This involved a significant transfer of expertise. In 1960, the two brothers Ernst and Gottlieb Baumgärtner – quite boldly for the time – founded their own winery. We have created a vinous tribute to our ancestor from 1865 with the "Madeus B.": This red wine cuvée, aged in barriques, has been one of the Panorama Winery's most successful classics for many years.
