From this spot, you can see the vast reservoir stretching between forested ridges and the snow-dusted peaks of the Coast Mountains. The water’s deep blue surface often mirrors the surrounding wilderness, giving it an almost alpine feel despite its low elevation. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of Mount Baker in the distance.

**This viewpoint and the bluffs viewpoint beyond this spot are both along a side trail with no clear entry—just a scramble over rocks and into the forest. The views are fantastic, but footing is tricky and the terrain skirts some sharp drop-offs, so only head this way if you’re confident and sure-footed.
