Judges Route is safest to use between July and September, when it's snow-free. The trail begins on an old deactivated logging road through the forest of mossy hemlock and cedar, with glimpses of Cameron Lake below. After about 2 kilometers of climbing, you emerge from the treeline and follow up the ridge with some class 2 scrambling.
