Lindsay Valley offers a network of easy woodland trails open to the public year-round, except when the base is on high alert or closed—during those times, entry is restricted at the main gate.

In winter, the lodge opens on weekends for visitors, and signs near the Cadets Canada area simply mark restricted sections off the main access road.
