As you rise out of the treeline, the Turtle Mountain Trail follows a class 2 scramble across a rocky ridge to Turtle Mountain's South Peak, situated at 2,210 m above sea level. A short, more exposed traverse continues to North Peak, but this section involves loose rock and class 3 scrambling.
