One of the most beloved objects for photographers: the Reformed Church in Den Hoorn, popularly known as 'het witte kerkje'. From the TESO ferry the distinctive white tower is clearly visible.

'Het witte kerkje, the pride of' Den Hoorn ', was built in 1425. 25 years later, in 1450, the tower is built on the west gable. Even later, the church tower was used as a beacon (orientation and signal sign for ships) for shipping. In the 17th century, the sanctuary (room in the church where the main altar is located) was demolished and replaced by a straight wall. The year 1646, seen in the wall anchor, recalls it.

Throughout the centuries, the small church has been regularly renovated (inter alia in 1602 when the tower was restored and in 1956/57 as a large-scale renovation took place). Further interventions did not take place any more.
