The starting point of the tour is the parking lot at the Spießweiher in Eppenbrunn. The path initially leads through a meadow valley in the direction of Roppeviller, then branches off to the left at the first ascent onto a signposted path that is relatively steep and leads to the eastern cornerstone of the Altschlossfelsen. On the south side of the Brechenberg, the path always runs along the rocks until it leads to a crossroads to the right, down the valley and along the German-French. From here it goes to the left over the border to Lorraine and always following the yellow marking to the French town of Roppeviller, where the Café Lorrain is ideal for a rest. Then it goes back to the border and from there straight on on a bike path until the parking lot at the Spießweiher is reached again.
