It's worth stopping to see what remains of this monastery, linked to the Franciscans. The church's sanctuary must have been built starting in the 14th century. In the 18th century, a large nave, the main façade, and the monastery entrance were added, which are best preserved today.
The presbytery had a beautiful Moorish coffered ceiling, which was moved in the 1970s to the Torreón del Caracol in Benavente (Parador de Turismo) to prevent its loss, where it remains today.
