The Guadiana River crossing at Puerto Peña is located in the area of the Puerto Peña reservoir (also known as García de Sola), within the La Siberia Extremeña region, in the province of Badajoz. This point is very close to the road that connects Santa Amalia (Badajoz) with Ciudad Real, following the route of the N-430 and the future A-43 (Guadiana Highway), which links Extremadura with Castilla-La Mancha.
