Norway is known for its interesting and sometimes precariously placed cairns. These two on the trail between Sandhaug and Rauhelleren are perched on lichen-covered boulders left behind when the glaciers retreated. The presence of these erratics is a reminder of the immense natural forces that forged the Hardangervidda.
