Tips

  • This small, unassuming chapel is located next to St Brelade's Parish Church and can easily be overlooked. Fishermen's Chapel was probably in the 11./12. Built in the 19th century. The simple room holds wonderful frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries.

  • It is believed that this Anglican parish church was built on one of the oldest Christian sites of St. Brélade and the oldest parts are 1000 years old.
Before renovation in the 1890s, the stones inside the church were covered with plaster and painted white. During the renovation, the plaster was removed from the granite stones. The ceiling in the whole church is beautiful!

  • This bay is well protected and extremely popular with bathers. The gently sloping fine sandy beach becomes very wide at low tide, making the path to the water very long. The busy waterfront was actually built by the German occupiers as an anti-tank wall. St Brelade itself has a little reputation as a place of the rich.
