Beef cows in the pasture. I can't remember ever encountering that in the Netherlands. I think they're always kept in the barns. I won't judge the taste of meat here in Burgundy compared to the taste in the Netherlands. In any case, it was a wonderful encounter. They were skittish, but also incredibly curious. I really like cows, probably because I grew up partly on a farm.
